Green Solutions for Landscaping

Landscaping situations require consistently excellent quality turf that is free from weeds, pests and does not fall apart when laid.

All turf is grown to the TGA (Turfgrass Growers Association) Standard and conforms to BS 3969:

· Grown on stone-free sandy loam soils

· Strong and easy to lay

· Compatible with all soil types

· Free from visible disease and weeds

· Free from netting

· Available in small 1m² rolls or big 28m² rolls

· Outstanding appearance and strong green colour

· Hardwearing and dense

· Easy to maintain

Turfing Guidance Notes

PREPARATION  Existing vegetation and stones should be removed and a light tilth prepared

STORAGE Turf is liable to deteriorate rapidly and should be laid within 24 hours of receipt

Please note: all turf is harvested to order

LAYING Turfing shall comply with BS 3969 and be carried out when the weather and soil  conditions are suitable.  Turfing should not be carried out in exceptionally dry or frosty weather or when the ground is waterlogged.

AFTERCARE  Allowance should be made to keep the turf watered during dry periods encountered throughout the establishment period.  A minimum of 4 to 6 weeks should be allowed before cutting the turf, and first cut should only remove top third of growth.

Different grades are available which are suitable for a wide range of uses, so you can create a fine lawn that looks like a bowling green, lay a hardwearing turf that will stand up to wear and tear, or choose a turf to cope with water restrictions.
